Thanks Shane Parrish, I just started my reading journey last year. While most people are talking about speed reading techniques, I was reading almost word by word because I really don’t want to miss any great point in every book I read (also, partly because English is not my main language). I don’t make my own notes, but I do highlight phrases that I find inspired and useful.
One thing I really want to do is to revisit some really good books I’ve read in the past. I think we really need to give up the urge of reading more books mindlessly, in order to really learn and implement lessons and wisdom from great books.
There is something else I like to point out to all readers — put aside book that sucks (or books you don’t like). I used to take so long to finish a book, and it turns out that I just don’t like the book (or not ready to understand its essence).
Anyway, thanks for sharing the Feynman Technique! Will definitely implement this technique in my reading.
