I never thought about becoming a writer 18 months ago, and don’t even know how to spell “strawberry” 4 years ago. I think one really important key is to start — start before we are ready — and learn the craft along the journey.

Now, I have a book in my mind. But the plan is to allow the ideas to marinate and incubate before its maturation. The product goal is to have 10,000 readers and the process goal is to write every single day.

And yes, stop looking at the stats.
